West America After Care was created to accommodate families in the Mill Valley and Tae Kwon Do community by helping children learn in safe but challenging environments.

After Care staff engage with students in the classroom, on the blacktop, and in the dojo.

We want students to achieve their highest potential.

As members of West America After Care, your child will have access to:

  • Pick-ups from Bel Aire, Edna Maguire, Tam Valley, Strawberry, Old Mill and Park elementary schools

  • Tutors who assist with completing homework daily during reading and homework time

  • Supervised outdoor play

  • Access to play structures, basketball courts, soccer fields

  • Weekly hikes or park visits

  • Arts and Crafts

  • Escort to TKD classes if enrolled

What does a day at West America After Care look like?

  • Upon Arrival, students will have time to unwind and enjoy a healthy snack.

  • Homework and reading time with the tutoring team takes place from 3:30pm-4:00pm.

  • After, students can be choose to be inside with board games and arts and crafts, or they can go play outside.

  • Tae Kwon Do classes occur at their scheduled time (for those who are enrolled) and students are asked to get changed and then are walked to their class.

*While some of our students are also members of West America Tae Kwon Do, you do not need to be a part of the Tae Kwon Do program to join the aftercare program.*
